Serena has a brilliant fashion sense and the 40-year-old always surprised her fans with unique dresses on the court. However, the black Catsuit she used in the French Open 2018 landed in controversy.

Even after being the top performer in the game, Serena Williams has often faced baseless and illogical criticism. The 40-year-old got a similar treatment once again when former Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova made comments on Serena’s body.

“I hate my muscles. I’m not Venus Williams, I’m not Serena Williams. I’m feminine. I don’t want to look like they do. I’m not masculine like they are,” she said.

Serena dedicated the dress to mothers who had a tough pregnancy. However, it didn’t go down well with the French Open organizers who planned to ban it in the upcoming edition. When Serena got the news of the ban, she politely acknowledge it by saying, “I think that obviously, the Grand Slams have a right to do what they want to do.”
