The Creed movie franchise offers thrill, excitement, and a lot of boxing sessions. Being the child franchise of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky, Creed also flaunts meticulous physiques and muscular statures. With Michael B. Jordan as the protagonist, Creed reached the hearts of millions through Jordan’s off-the-charts acting flair. First in 2015 and then in 2018, the Rocky-verse delivered top-notch performances and became the megahit. Now, once again in 2023, the third installment released in theatres and it already crunched all the previous box-office records. Interestingly, it is the dynamics between Jordan and the MCU’s big multiversal villain Jonathan Majors, which caught the fan’s attention the most.

After embracing his villain era with Marvel, Majors is back with another blockbuster role in Creed 3. Though his fandom is already aware of his bulging deltoids and ripped abs, the MCU favorite flaunted a more aesthetic persona this time in the action-thriller. However, to achieve a muscular frame for Creed, the 33-year-old chose a rather intriguing way for his physical transformation.

On March 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp actor appeared in an interview with People magazine. The 33-year-old profoundly chatted about various ins and outs of the new installment of Rocky verse. While giving away various tidbits about his training montage, he revealed “Right now I’m probably four [percent] body fat but also five or six pounds heavier than [when he filmed the movie]”.

The actor continued, “It’s a lifestyle. I’m going for overall health. I actively don’t show my body [much], I wear big clothes”. Interestingly, as soon as he got cast in the movie, he realized that he needs to take his preparation to the next level. “This was the first time I was like, ‘OK’, it’s gonna be on display more or less”, added Majors.

The 33-year-old further stated, “As we talked about the honor of joining the Creed-verse, Rocky-verse in the new installment, you want to do right by everyone that’s coming before you. And you want to do right by [Jordan]. You want a bad guy? You want a formidable foe? You got it?”. Unarguably, Majors indeed pulled off the bad guy role in the movie against Michael B. Jordan. Nevertheless, many of his co-stars are also in awe of his physical prowess.

Majors’ Ant-Man co-star hails him for his vigorous body

Creed isn’t the only movie where the 33-year-old took off his shirt to give his fans an astounding peek at his physique. In the movies Top Gun: Maverick and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors did a commendable job of making many heads turn his way. Ant-Man’s protagonist, Paul Rudd once praised his on-screen rival by conceding, “He was terrifying, and it was pretty intense”.

Rudd added, “I tried to bulk up and get in shape, but it was pointless compared to Jon and why do it when Ant-Man never takes his shirt off!”. Clearly, for every project, Majors takes his prep to a completely different level and confounds his fans by crossing their expectations. Though he is the antagonist in Creed 3, the matchup of Majors and Jordan’s strapping physiques proved every bit as dynamic.
