Batman and Robin
Before things took a turn, Covington and Masvidal were constantly seen together. Being roommates had the two spend a lot of time, which resulted in a strong bond between the two. They would often wrestle each other at their home, continually practicing and working on their ground games.
Covington even went as far as saying that the pair would never face each other. The only scenario is if there was a belt on the line. ‘Chaos’ would also compare themselves to Batman and Robin. Masvidal had also noted that Covington lived in his couch for a while. The two were close friends and because they trained together, there are plenty of pictures and videos on social media.

Colby Covington is coming off an impressive performance against former champion Tyron Woodley. The two rivals headlined the UFC Fight Night 178 main event in September. Covington got the TKO win after Woodley couldn’t continue due to a rib injury.
Jorge Masvidal has yet to step back in the octagon since his July loss to Usman at UFC 251. The fight had a huge hype behind it as Masvidal stepped in on short notice to save the card. Originally, Gilbert Burns was scheduled to compete against the champion but had to pull out after testing positive for COVID-19. Gamebred would find himself on the wrong side of a unanimous decision.
Recently, Covington confirmed that there have been talks with the UFC for him to fight Jorge Masvidal next. UFC president Dana White even went as far as saying that it’s “very possible” Covington vs. Masvidal is next and as per Covington, he is ready to sign the contract.
