Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Camp & Fans Cry Robbery as Charles Oliveira Celebrates Elves Brenner’s Win at UFC 284

The judges have an immense responsibility on their hands when scoring a fight. The MMA or combat sports athletes want a fair scoring of their respective fights, Hence there must be qualified judges in every UFC fight. The stories of an undeserving fighter winning the bout by the judges’ error are coming up every week in the UFC. However, the fans have witnessed one of the most horrific scorings of a UFC fight at UFC 284. The fight ended up having one of the most controversial decisions in recent months in the UFC.

UFC 284 saw the fight between Elves Brener and Zubaira Tukhugov go to a decision. The fans were eagerly excited about the bout as Tukhugov entered the fight as a favorite. The fighters didn’t have a good record entering the fight. Brener was on a two-fight winning run and Tukhugov was on just a 1 fight run. However, the tension was high as both fighters looked to secure a win at UFC 284.

Fans and Fighters react to a controversial split decision

The fans were shocked to see the fight decided by a controversial decision. The close fight naturally would have ended up going to the judges. However, it seems like most fans do not agree with how the judges scored the contest between Brener and Tukhugov.

The fans believed that it should be Zubaira ‘Warrior’ who should have his hand raised after the bout. However, the close fight went in Brazilian’s favor and some fans and fighters have had their say on Twitter.

Umar Nurmagomedov showed his concern regarding qualified judges in a fight. The Russian fighter said the UFC has the responsibility of getting fair and qualified judges.

The judges had clearly left the fans also in splits as most of the fans didn’t know what happened. There was confusion all around the arena for Brener vs Tukhugov fight.

However, Charles Oliveira would be happy as his teammate won the controversial bout. The same thing cannot be said for Khabib Nurmagomedov and his camp.
