Istela Nunes dropped her latest fight in the horrific fashion when she entered the UFC Octagon against Viktoriia Dudakova at UFC Vegas 77 on Saturday night. Coming into the fight on the heels of three successive defeats, she wanted to bounce back to the winner’s column. However, things took a nasty turn when she landed awkwardly on the canvas, a mere 34 seconds into the first round.
Dudakova gunned for an early takedown, and to fend off her efforts, the 30-year-old twisted but went down, putting her entire body weight on her arm. Thus snapping her elbow in a grim injury. An agonizing scream prompted referee Chris Tognoni to end the fight, causing the Brazilian to suffer another defeat. Moreover, the horrid injury left the fans in shock.
