Ninja 2021: Net worth, sponsors, and streaming platform
Richard Tyler Blevins, better known as Ninja, is a gamer and full-time streamer, but he is so much more. Over the last few years, he has transcended the gaming industry and become a modern-day pop icon.
Ninja started off on his gaming journey as a competitive player and represented various eSports organizations like Cloud9, Team Liquid, Renegades, and Luminosity Gaming. Having kick-started his professional career with Halo 3, he also competed in games like H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown's Battleground.
Ninja gave in to the gradually growing trend of streaming in 2011, balancing it alongside his competitive ventures. However, he was one among a sea of streamers, trying to make it big.
All that changed in 2017 when he took up a certain game called Fortnite Battle Royale.
Ninja and Fortnite had something of a symbiotic success. Both parties simply exploded in popularity, becoming contemporary icons. In 2020, Epic Games released a 'Ninja' skin in Fortnite, which we can surely consider to be recognition of his contribution.
While the two are no longer as inseparable as they once were, the bond remains.
A move that shocked the world
Twitch, the world's biggest streaming platform, was also home to the biggest streamer on the globe, once. Ninja was its crown jewel with a mind-boggling 14 million+ followers.
In 2019, though, the unthinkable happened as the blue-haired streamer announced he was quitting Twitch for the fairly new platform, Mixer.
After Mixer shut down, Ninja has streamed on both Twitch and YouTube. It is still unclear what his final decision would be.
Ninja net worth in 2021
According to CelebrityNetWorth, Ninja's net worth is estimated to be around $15 million. An exclusivity contract with Microsoft's Mixer, reported to be between $20-30 million will only add to it in the following years.
