Los Angeles Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma criticized a Fox News reporter, Laura Ingraham, while defending his teammate LeBron James.
In 2018, when LeBron James criticized Donald Trump, the Fox News reporter said James was not the ideal person for political advice.
“It’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” she said. “Keep the political comments to yourselves… Shut up and dribble.”

Two years later, a video of the reporter talking about James in 2018 merged with her comments on NFL star Drew Brees came out on social media. Brees recently made a few controversial comments on criticizing Colin Kaepernick’s protests in 2016. Ingraham’s views on Brees seemed very different from what she told about James two years back.
“He is allowed to have an opinion of what the flag and the kneeling means to him. He is a person.” she said.
Many criticized the reporter on watching in the video that showed both her comments. Among those was Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma. He not only called the reporter “racist” but also praised his teammate James as a man who “preaches togetherness.”
“Or maybe you shouldn’t listen to a racist fox news reporter who sways the world by what she says on air. The man has his own school that preaches togetherness,” Kuzma tweeted.:

LeBron James was among those criticizing Drew Brees’ comments
Brees’ comments on Kaepernick’s protests led to some backlash. LeBron James was among those criticizing Brees over his comments. He said Kaepernick kneeling had absolutely nothing to do with disrespecting the nation and its soldiers.
Portland Trail Blazers’ CJ McCollum also raised his voice on Twitter against Brees’ comments. There have been many more on social media who were against Brees’ comments. After much backlash, Brees offered an apology for his comments with a long post on Instagram.

“I am sick about the way my comments were perceived yesterday, but I take full responsibility and accountability. I recognize that I should do less talking and more listening…and when the black community is talking about their pain, we all need to listen,” the post read.
“For that, I am very sorry and I ask your forgiveness.”
