A few weeks ago, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that the league will return. Along with it came a revised schedule of fixtures, with a few teams eliminated for the comeback. After the meticulously prepared structure was announced, only 22 teams made the cut and the Memphis Grizzlies would be thrilled to find their name on the list.
It can certainly be discussed that the inclusion of rookie Ja Morant has boosted the team to a higher level. The 20-year-old is sticking to his game, and that seems scary. His explosiveness on the court is unguardable from what we’ve seen so far.
The team has a decent record this season and Ja Morant is thriving in the league by leading his team’s average points and assists charts. The Memphis Grizzlies, however, are lacking depth in their roster due to injuries. The management has secured the signing a free-agent to close a bit of their lineup’s gap.

Memphis Grizzlies re-sign NBA veteran for the rest of the season
As the NBA transaction window opens tomorrow, a few teams are on the search to sign free-agents who can get a contract until the end of the season. Recently, the Los Angeles Clippers took a clever bet by re-signing Joakim Noah. Similarly, the Grizzlies have also sealed the services of Anthony Tolliver for their Orlando campaign.
Players who had signed a 10-day contract before the league’s suspension, will become free-agents when the transaction window opens on June 23. Hence, Tolliver who was previously on a ten-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, is being recalled by the team. Marc Stein of the NY Times reported through a tweet that both parties have reached a verbal agreement.

This move will undoubtedly ring positive bells inside Tolliver’s mind. The 35-year-old had to struggle with his career by jumping teams within a year or two after signing. He has signed 10-day short contracts with teams before.
Tolliver has a career field goal percentage of 41.5, and his experience certainly is worth a lot. Memphis’ roster completely contains players born in the 90s and the addition of Tolliver will add a bit of depth in the aspect of knowledge and expertise.
