The NBA has suspended the league last week because of Coronavirus concerns. Since then, a lot of NBA players and teams have come forward to help the people affected by the pandemic. LA Lakers star Kyle Kuzma is the latest addition to this list. Kyle has decided to give something back to his hometown of Flint, Michigan in these hard times.
The 24-year-old LA forward announced Wednesday night that he is partnering with the Michigan YMCA. This partnership aims to donate meals to seniors/elderly being affected by the coronavirus in the area, as reported by The Athletic’s Bill Oram.
Bill further confirmed that Kuzma’s program with the YMCA “will provide dinner and a snack nightly starting March 23 and will run at least six weeks”. This program will provide over 550 meals every week.

Kyle Kuzma claims sanitizers are scam
Kyle Kuzma has definitely not been in good light since the NBA suspension. His Instagram stories on March 17 claimed how ‘hand sanitizers don’t work and are scam’. The story met with obvious uproar, especially considering the state of panic the world is in today.

Players like Kyle are doing all by their influence and resources to help those affected amid this crisis. Prior to this act other NBA Stars including Kevin Love, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Griffin also confirmed that they will donate $100,000 to their respective arena’s workers. Zion Williamson also pledged to cover arena staff wages through March. Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry also vow to feed Oklahoma district kids (two time meals) as schools are now closed all over the country. Golden State Warriors also declared that their owners, players, and coaches will make a donation of $1 million to aid arena employees.
Times like these are definitely hard ones, and with little help from each other, we could definitely surpass this ocean of difficulty.
