In the absence of Anthony Davis, it was another Los Angeles Lakers nightmare. The Miami Heat convincingly handed the purple and gold their 21st loss of the season. It was a one sided bashing as LeBron James alone couldn’t handle the wrath of Jimmy Butler and co.

The fans want to see the King succeed. And they see that with a move that once made James the villain of the NBA.

Once again it was the defensive side that let the Lakers down. The 17 time champions shot the three ball better and had an efficient offense as compared to the Heat. However, the 2020 NBA finalist’s core defenders in Bam Adebayo and Butler slowed down the fast paced Laker offense. Miami turned the ball over merely 5 times while the Lakers lost possession 24 times, a testament to the relentless defense of the Heat.

One thing that has kept the Laker nation hopeful is LeBron James elite display even as he is a few days away from being 38. However, the NBA world can’t see another wasted season from the King. Likewise, they want to see him replicate his iconic ‘Decision’.

While its unclear whether the Miami Heat will break their reliable young core, an additional star like LeBron James would boost them as contenders. Since recovering from his injury, the four time MVP has been on an impressive streak. Averaging nearly 28 points this season, the 37 year old still has to fuel to get the job done. Adding LeBron James will not only help Butler relax on the offensive end, but also allow him to focus on his priced defensive prowess much more. Moreover, the Akron Hammer’s court vision remains one of the best.
