1947 was the year the iconic Red began its journey. Who was to know that the team based in Maranello, the legendary Ferrari, would go on to script history at the pinnacle of motorsport? In 73 years of racing in F1, the team has won 16 constructors’ championships and 15 drivers’ championships. But looking at its current state of mediocrity, the CEO of Ferrari has reprimanded Frederic Vasseur and Co.

The present Ferrari team is nothing like the one that established itself as the best team on the grid. A team that drivers aspired to drive for. But today, it doesn’t hold the same position and not all drivers want to be part of Ferrari. When the scenario is such, the CEO, Benedetto Vigna, has come forward to remind the management of its legacy.

Vigna said, as quoted by Gazzetta.it,Racing is our heritage and, more than ever, a stimulus to innovate further. It is the will to progress that we must always keep alive. It is the legacy of our founder that we must constantly cultivate with confident humility. With this spirit we started the F1 World Championship, but with a level of competitiveness lower than our expectations.”

The CEO has stepped in to rebuke him, and this looks like the last straw for Vasseur. To make quick reparations in such a situation, he has radically started making structural changes.

The Maranello-based team is in dire need of significant changes. With 191 points so far, this season, they have slipped to P4 in the Constructors’ championship. If they want to finish 2nd like they did last year, the SF-23, and their human resources, need some changes. And according to Vasseur, it is finally happening.

“We have started recruiting in a big way,” explained Vasseur as quoted by FormulaPassion. “And this is also a message we need to send to the paddock and the team: we will do our best in every single area. It’s not that performance comes only from aerodynamics but from everyone in the company.”
