“Dhoni Bhai Career bhi Khatam kar Denge” Sreesanth Backs MS Dhoni over Ben Stokes ‘Lack of Intent Comment

Former Indian cricketer Sreesanth bashed the England all-rounder Ben Stokes for putting allegations on the former Indian captain MS Dhoni. In his soon to be published book, Ben Stokes had accused Mahi of not playing with right intent against England during the World Cup 2019. India had to chase a total of 337 runs against England to win the match. However, the Indian batting line-up collapsed against the World Cup 2019 winner, and India lost the match by 31 runs. Though MS remained unbeaten in the match, he couldn’t take the team towards the victory. 

Stokes had written, “Arguably, the way MS Dhoni played when he came in with 112 runs needed from 11 overs was even stranger. He appeared more intent on singles than sixes. Even with a dozen balls remaining, India could still have won…there was little or no intent from him (Dhoni) or his partner Kedar Jadhav. To me, while victory is still possible you always go for broke,”

This statement by Ben Stokes received a lot of criticism from the Indian cricket fans. Recently the Indian bowler Sreesanth also trolled Ben for questioning MS. Sreesanth has played under Mahi in both IPL and the Indian team. He was a part of the 2011 World Cup squad and has also played for Chennai Super Kings.

Sreesanth said, “Main toh thoda yehi bolunga Ben Stokes ko ki dua karo ki Dhoni bhai aapke khilaaf dobara na khele. Dhoni bhai ke memory se kuch bhi jaata nahi”.

The pacer also challenged the England star to dismiss Mahi. Sree said that Mahi can destroy your career even if you are the world-class all-rounder. Sreesanth quoted, “Usse all the best karta hun ki agar IPL ya England-India kahi bhi mila na bete, abhi tak toh 2 ya 1 million mil raha hai na, Dhoni bhai career bhi khatam kar denge. Ben Stokes ko main open challenge deta hun ki Dhoni bhai ko out toh kar nahi sakta woh chahe kitna bhi world ka best all-rounder ho.”

He signed off saying, “I just want to say that Ben Stokes you have been playing for the last 4-5 years since I was not playing, I am really looking forward to bowl to you brother. Just to give an answer to what you told about Dhoni.”
