Activision gave fans the chance to play the alpha version of their latest game, Black Ops Cold War. The alpha received a highly positive response from those who played it over the limited time. Additionally, Activision also opened up channels for alpha players to report bugs.

It has been a few weeks since the alpha version went live and Activision has had enough time to work on the beta. The developers are going to launch the game in just over a month and they need to be confident about the global version. Therefore, Activision wants to release a beta version as soon as possible to fix most of the bugs and work on player feedback before the global launch.

The beta version is expected to have more content than the alpha. One might not expect the developers to release the campaign in beta since they wouldn’t want to spoil the storyline. However, it will definitely have more guns, maps and modes with a lot more confirmations as compared to the alpha.

The trailer revealed a number of modes that will be available in the beta. These consist of TDM, Domination, VIP escort, Kill Confirmed, and Combined Arms.

Additionally, those who pre-order the game will also get Woods Operator and a weapon blueprint in Call of Duty Modern Warfare/Warzone, apart from the early access to the beta.

Since the game is optimized for the next-gen consoles, there are going to be certain performance issues while running the game on the PS4. However, players won’t face these issues once they play the game on the PS5 after the global launch.
