In one of the most lopsided matches, Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in the seventh round in their rematch. Post-fight, Fury showed keen interest in fighting another big name in the heavyweight division.
On 22 February, “The Gypsy King” entered the ring for the second time to face off against Wilder. After their first encounter ended in a controversial draw, Fury made sure the second fight did not reach the judges’ scoreboard. Fury was able to land multiple devastating blows to Wilder before finishing him in the seventh round.

Tyson Fury has now held all major titles in boxing. He has conquered almost all the big names in the heavyweight division. However, one boxer has been on his list for a while and Fury is eager to fight him.
Tyson Fury names the boxer on his radar
The 31-year-old wants to fight fellow British rival, Anthony Joshua. Joshua who is coming off an impressive win over Andy Ruiz Jr. in their rematch has also shown interest in fighting Fury. However, there’s a catch. Wilder is entitled to a mandatory rematch with Fury.
Tyson Fury is sceptical about the trilogy with Wilder. He said, “He’s got a rematch clause in the contract but he’s only just had his loss and I’ve only just had my victory.”
Nobody can deny Fury the right to celebrate the spoils of war. Although Fury said that he does not want to think of his next opponent, the Brit mentioned Anthony Joshua’s name if Wilder is not interested in a rematch.
“I took the chance, I came over here, I took over America, and that’s it. I’m going to enjoy the spoils of war and enjoy myself tonight and that’s it. If Deontay don’t want the rematch, then let’s go AJ.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn has also teased a title unification bout between Joshua and Fury.

Joshua is a much more technical boxer than Fury’s last opponent and he can pose some serious threat to Fury’s undefeated record. On top of that, he has some serious power in his hands. On the other hand, Fury is a refined boxer with incredible movement and brutal power.
