If you have been keeping up with Claressa Shields, you know that she agreed to go on a date with Sunny Edwards if he beats Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez. The fight will take place sometime in November or December. It will see the two participate in one of the most talked-about fights this year. England’s Sunny (20-0, 4KOs) will defend his 112-pound IBF title against Rodriguez (18-0, 11KOs) on the west coast of the US.

Earlier in April, when the bout was in the works, fans weighed their opinions on the possible wins. The greatest Woman of All Time, Claressa Shields, also spoke her mind and sided with Jesse. She said ‘Bam’ would take Sunny out in eight rounds. In a surprising response to her Tweet, Sunny asked if she would go out with him. That is if he did manage to beat Jesse. Later, she confirmed that she would indeed go out with him if he won the match, citing that she was a woman of her word.

The GWOAT spilled the beans about someone she really likes. She tweeted, saying that a lot of men and women like her, but she seldom reciprocates. But this time she says, “But when I like somebody I’m damn near head over heels 🤣🤎 and right now I like someone 🫂.” So who is this someone?

Although Shields did not drop any more information about the “somebody”, that didn’t stop fans from taking wild guesses as to who that was and commenting on her viral Twitter post!

One fan seemed annoyed that she liked someone else and not Sunny.

On the other hand, another user insinuated that Shields liked Anthony Joshua; thicken the pot with his statement!

One fan felt Sunny had been successful in his efforts to ask her out and that Shields was in fact referring to Edwards.

Other fans, on the other hand, seemed more worried for GWOAT and hoped she was getting the great things she deserved.

One fan even mentioned the upcoming fight as Claressa made the revelation.

Speaking of Shields, she returned to her native Michigan as he fought Maricela Cornejo. Claressa defeated her opponent via a unanimous decision (100-89, 100-90, 100-90). The bout was a big deal for the GWOAT, as she carried the tag of being undisputed along with her six middleweight titles into the ring. Previously, she fought Ema Kozin in Wales and Savannah Marshall in England. The fight was rather a surprise, given that it was supposed to happen with Hanna Gabriels in a rematch of their 2018 bout. However, Hanna failed a Voluntary Anti-doping Association test.
