Activision provided fans access to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha Multiplayer over the weekend. The idea behind this was for fans to play the game and report bugs to the developers. To better achieve this goal, the developers have also released a feedback form for those who played the alpha but couldn’t report the bugs earlier.

Players can click on the link which will redirect them to the Activision website. There, they will find 2 more links, one each for submitting feedback and reporting a bug.

This would help Activision work on the areas that the game currently lacks in or those that could be a possible issue in the final version.

Known bugs in Black Ops Cold War

A general complaint that people have had with the Alpha was the game’s graphics. However, it can be understood since the game has been optimized for the PS5. A video uploaded by the YouTuber ‘S0ur’ provides detailed information on most of the bugs. These include bugs with the textures, motion blur as well as other visual bugs.

He displayed how a lot of textures took ages to load, unless a player was standing pretty close to them. The draw distance was also very less. Therefore, the ground texture smoothened out only after a few meters. He also complained that players were hard to notice in darker maps like ‘Miami’ due to the bad visibility in the long distance.

Another issue with the Alpha is with character movement. S0ur described the movement as ‘clunky’ and added that watching other characters move felt weird. He also added that the time it took to throw grenades was unusually long. Finally, he complained that the players’ names weren’t on top, which made it difficult to distinguish between friendlies and enemies.

Many other players reported a few bugs in reply to Tony’s tweet.

While Activision is known to rush their games most times and deliver an incomplete product, it looks like they want to get it right for their first PS5 title. If they play this right and work on the reports and the feedbacks, they can keep the bugs to a minimum.

However, they’ll still need to incorporate an anti-cheat system in the game that will truly do a good job. The lack of it in Warzone really frustrated players, who will hope to see the issue eradicated with the new title.
