Apex Legends, developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, revolutionized the battle royale genre when it came out. But like most games, Apex also has a few bugs and issues of its own.

The Bugs In Apex Legends

Recently an Apex Legends player discovered a troublesome bug that revived downed opponent who killed a Mirage decoy. Legends like Wattson or Caustic can still deal damage when they’re knocked down with their lingering traps. The player found out that dispatching a Mirage clone into those traps revived the downed opponent who destroyed the decoy with those traps. The opponent would instantly get back to full health with a depleted shield, however.

Another player discovered the same principle could be applied to lingering damage from grenades. The flames from the Thermite Grenade slaughtered Mirage’s clone, allowing the player to revive instantly and enter the fight again.

Another frustrating in-game bug was keeping players from conveniently utilizing Frag Grenades, Thermites, and Arc Stars. The glitch prevented the throwable equipment from appearing on the HUD. It wasn’t entirely a visual glitch, either. Pressing ‘G’, the default bind to equip a grenade, failed to equip the utility too. Neither would the utility manually equip from the inventory.

The only way around it was to bring up the Grenade wheel and scroll through the varieties and finally equip the desired throwable to the character.

Dozens of players encountered another bug. They reported the game’s Battle Pass challenges not showing up at the weekly reset as they should. The challenges were missing.

All three bugs were widespread across PC, PS4, and Xbox One and encountered by multiple players.

Bug Fixes Announced
