Yuvraj Singh’s World Cup hopes may not be over yet, with Ravindra Jadeja recently suffering a shoulder injury. Although Yuvraj wasn’t amongst in the 30 World Cup probables, he can still make way for an injured player and his recent form in the domestic circuit might see him crop into the Indian management’s radar once again.
Yuvraj Singh was dropped after an off-show in the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh last year. Further adding to his woes, he was released by his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Despite these setbacks, Yuvraj showcased his talent in the domestic series with 3 back-to-back centuries in the Ranji Trophy, thereby being the highest run scorer in the circuit at this moment of time.
BCCI stated that Jadeja would probably be fit by January end, though. The 15 man squad for the World Cup, along with the squad for the preceding Tri-series would be released on the 6 of January.
We all are well versed of the capabilities of the veteran batsman, and the impact that he can have on a game. An in-form Yuvraj could be a huge advantage for India.
