What Does Rafael Nadal Eat?
In a recent live event called #GetRafaMoving, Rafael Nadal answered many questions asked by his fans. One of these questions touched upon what he ate and drank right before a match to be at his very best. To this, the Spaniard replied,
“On match days, the routine is very similar always and of course you don’t want to take risks on the food. So normally I eat some white pasta or white rice with a piece of fish or grilled fish or steamed fish. That’s all before a match and drinking, of course, I take my salt, energetic drinks before a match to well hydrate, to be in the right shape for the battle.”
The Spaniard will in all likelihood be back on this eating plan as the tennis season is soon to return. The ATP Tour will be back in August and Rafa will want to be in top form to take on its tiring schedule.

On the revised ATP calendar, there are going to be tournaments played every week. In addition to that, the two Grand Slams, the US Open and the French Open are going to be played in the same month. This has led to a lot of speculation over whether Nadal will only play one of the Slams. This is something the tennis maestro is yet to confirm.

However, recent events have signaled that the Spaniard may skip the US Open for the French Open. He confirmed his participation at the Madrid Open which starts a day after the US Open and was also seen practicing on a clay-court. No one will be happy if he misses the event but hopefully, he will do well and win the French Open.
