Hasbulla Magomedov is a Russian celebrity who is close to the top Russian fighters in MMA. He opened up about how he knows Khabib Nurmagomedov and if he trains at the ‘Eagles’ gym in Dagestan, Russia. To start with, Hasbulla Magomedov shattered all rumors around him having some sort of contract with ‘Team Khabib’.
He said, “They are my brothers. That’s why you see us together.”

The internet star further revealed that he trains at Khabib Nurmagomedov’s gym from time to time. Magomedov said, “Yes, sometimes I train, go to the gym. But not often. Maybe once a month.”
When asked, who on Nurmagomedov’s team does he know very well, he said, “I know Islam (Makhachev) for a long time. Very long time. We weren’t close friends but we’ve known each other for about 10 years.” As a fact would have it, the two superstars live in the same township in Dagestan, Russia. Hasbulla even said, “Yes, he’s my neighbor.”

The heir apparent to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s lightweight throne, Islam Makhachev, last fought at UFC 267. The Russian faced New Zealand’s own, Dan ‘The Hangman’ Hooker in a three-round bout on the main card. Makhachev made full use of the opportunity and dispatched his opponent in the first round with a nasty ‘Kimura’ submission.
Hasbulla Magomedov was in attendance at the event and even took part in the celebrations with Khabib and the team. The internet sensation created an iconic moment when he and Khabib Nurmagomedov were spotted head-butting each other in a cute and slightly strange interaction while taking the picture.
Will Hasbulla Magomedov fight in the UFC?
There was a lot of talk surrounding Hasbulla meeting UFC president Dana White before UFC 267. Many fans speculated Magomedov might sign some sort of contract with the UFC. However, Magomedov put all those rumors to rest by admitting to having no intention of fighting in MMA for the UFC. Hence, as of now, he will not fight in the UFC.

Despite not signing a deal, and only being a spectator, he managed to attract all the attention at the post-fight media scrum.
