Pakistani leg spinner Yasir Shah has been ruled of the Bangladesh tour following an injury to his left hand.
He becomes the 3rd player after Harris Sohail and Shoaib Maqsood to miss out due to injury.
Yasir got injured while playing Pakistan’s practice match against BCB XI in Fatullah. He required 3 stitches on his left thumb after being hit and was taken to Square Hospital in central Dhaka where he was looked after.
“Yasir Shah got injured today during practice match. He got stitches on his left hand. Replacement for the ODI series will be announced in due course,” an official PCB statement said.
Yasir made his ODI debut in September 2011, but was not a part of Pakistan ODI side for almost 4 years, till he was called up for the World Cup in February. He played Pakistan’s opening game of the tournament, against India, but an expensive outing of 8-0-60-0 along with team’s need to strengthen the batting meant he would be cooling his heels throughout the rest of the tournament.
