Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Mumbai teenager on Wednesday etched his name into the record books by becoming the youngest player to smash a List-A double century. While playing for Mumbai in his debut Vijay Hazare season, the 17-year-old hit 203 off 154 balls, which included 12 sixes and 17 fours against Jharkhand. They have the bowling attack that included India pacer Varun Aaron and Shahbaz Nadeem.

The opener’s blitzy innings helped Mumbai to put up a massive total of 359 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group A match. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in a scintilating form in the tournament, smashing 113 and 122 against Kerala and Goa respectively.

He made it the ninth instance of an Indian scoring a List A double-hundred. The achievement comes within a week after Sanju Samson hit an unabeaten 212 – his first List A century – for Kerala which came against Goa and made it the highest individual score of the competition so far.
