It’s the 12th Feb and this is the day when the pitchers and players report for the 2020 spring training. At the point when Yankees manager Aaron Boone addresses the media for the first time this spring on Wednesday, he’ll sound quiet and guaranteed, what’s more, he should. The group won the AL East and arrived at the ALCS last year. What’s more, it included the pro Gerrit Cole this winter. It’s the best program Boone has had since taking the activity in 2018.
Still, he’ll have a lot of unsettled business, a lot of questions that need answering before Opening Day.

Yankees Spring Training
Gerrit Cole is the most exciting prospect for Yankees’ rotation this season. He is the top player the Yankees were looking for. Cole is the perfect blend, a player who can throw a 98mph fastball and an 80mph nasty curveball. He has the capability to finish perfect 9 innings. He practiced for the 1st time as a Yankee today at the George M. Steinbrenner Field, Tampa.
Along with Gerrit Cole, another gem of Yankees can be seen practicing, Miguel Andújar. He made his major league debut as the Yankees’ designated hitter against the Chicago White Sox, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a walk, breaking the Yankees’ record for most RBIs in a player’s first game.
He hit his first major league home run on April 17, 2018. And on April 23, Andújar hit a solo home run against the Minnesota Twins, marking his 7th consecutive game with an extra-base hit. Andújar joined Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees to ever have 7 consecutive games with an extra-base hit under the age of 24.
He is an amazing player to watch out for 2020 season given he has no injuries in the season.
During the practice session, we saw Luke Voit, Aaron Judge, Luis Severino and the catcher Gary Sanchez.
The Yankees will miss the services of Domingo German and James Paxton. German who is suspended for 81 games for violating MLB’s domestic-violence policy. Eighteen of those games were served last season, so German will miss the first 63 games of the 2020 campaign.
He will begin pitching in minor league games on May 21 in preparation for his return. German is eligible to return to the Yankees on June 5, when they begin a six-game homestand with a three-game series against the Rays.
Paxton, on the other hand, is out for 3-4 months due to back surgery.
