Back in August, 343 Industries announced an indefinite delay in the release of the most anticipated Xbox Series X/S exclusive title, Halo Infinite. The developers wanted to deliver the game in its best condition on time; however, the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic severely affected their efficiency.
Ever since, fans around the world have been eagerly waiting for a confirmation on the game’s new release window. Even though the developers are yet to make a statement, one of the game’s MoCap actors has spilled the beans.
GamingBolt recently discovered a Reddit post where Bruce Thomas, the MoCap actor for Master Chief, talked about the game’s current condition:

Apart from his role in Halo Infinite, Bruce Thomas played Russel Addler in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. He was part of a live chat on Dan Allen Gaming, where he primarily talked about Call of Duty’s latest title.
However, the conversation soon shifted towards Halo Infinite’s release date. When asked about wrapping up the game, Bruce answered, “I believe, unless we’re gonna try to do some more.”
He also added, “But yeah, as far as I know it’s in the can. Ready to go for next spring.”

Particularly in UK and Japan, Sony’s PlayStation 5 has been substantially ahead of Xbox Series X/S in sales. Even though both the latest consoles match each other in terms of specifications, the Series X/S lag in exclusive titles.
Halo Infinite was the only attractive exclusive title for the launch of Microsoft’s consoles. On the flip side, the PlayStation 5 offered Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Demon’s Souls on release.
Having said that, the recent developments hint towards a better future for both Halo Infinite and the Xbox Series X/S. If Bruce Thomas’ claims are true, the game is really close to going ‘gold’. Microsoft has also acquired Zenimax, and it is clear that the company is finally brushing up its exclusive titles list.
