The Xbox Series X and S pre-orders went live on September 22. Microsoft definitely handled its pre-orders better than Sony, but chaos seems inevitable nowadays. A lot of fans mistook the Xbox One X for the Xbox Series X and ended up buying the current-gen console. Despite that, the pre-orders were a success, and both the Series X and S have been purchased heavily.
Xbox recently tweeted while expressing its gratitude to everyone for their excitement.
“If you weren’t successful today be sure to sign up with retailers for updates, and expect more consoles to be available on November 10.”

Microsoft acquires Bethesda and Skyrim – Xbox exclusives on their way?
Microsoft is sparing no effort to win the console war for the next-gen. The company has worked significantly on customer engagement and interaction. As for the console itself, Microsoft has loaded it with features like cross-gen compatibility and Quick Resume. The subscription programs by Xbox are a huge pull too, as they will offer a ton of games for a standardized subscription fee.
However, only one thing lacks in making this console the perfect choice, i.e. impressive first-party games. Casual fans will always flock to the console that offers the best games, which are often exclusives because performance is rarely a bone of contention between two very powerful consoles. It seems like Microsoft has finally recognized the elephant in the room.
After almost a lifetime of working together, we're excited to be joining our longest and closest partner, @Xbox.

This $7.5 billion deal is huge for Microsoft. Bethesda is a well-established third party publisher for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. This will pave the way for Xbox to incorporate some amazing exclusives should Microsoft opt to go down that road. Moreover, it will reduce the pressure on games like Forza and Halo.

However, these recent developments are definitely giving hope to Xbox fans. It’s never too late to make a change, and Microsoft seems to have realized that.
