With the advent of next-gen consoles, running games at 4K and 60FPS simultaneously seems like an easily achievable task. Ever since the release of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S, several developers have enhanced their games to match the new-gen standard. The latest title to feature such optimization is State of Decay 2.
In a recent blog post, Xbox announced that the game will now support 4K resolution along with 60 FPS on the Series X and S. Also, both the consoles will now offer lightening-fast loading times, and improved details of the vast open-world.
Following State of Decay 2’s latest update, the Xbox Series X runs it better than ever:

Enjoy Lethal Difficulty on the Xbox Series X and S
State of Decay 2 originally released for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on 22 May 2018. Naturally, a lot of its players have mastered the game inside out. However, they won’t have to worry about getting bored from the game anymore.
The developers have introduced Lethal Difficulty in State of Decay 2, which they describe as “brutal new way to play that we’ve tuned right to the edge of impossible”. Apparently, the mode contains scarce open-world resources, stronger enemies, and a more ferocious blood plague.
“Plague hearts grow like weeds, and destroying one no longer guarantees safety from the hordes around it. And on top of all of that, the special “freak” zombies have been swapped out for their amped-up blood plague variants.”

Effective as of now, players can access the Stay Frosty Pack. It has over a dozen themed items and is available through in-game challenges. Interestingly, one can also discover it in the open-world.
