NBA 2K21, which released in September 20202, is the 22nd yearly installment in the popular NBA 2K franchise. The basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, proceeds similarly to the events of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The latest version promises a “one-of-a-kind immersion into all facets of NBA basketball” and the basketball culture. Their tagline, ‘Everything is Game’, suits the beauty of it, online and on-field. The game was originally not free-to-play on any platform; however, starting March 4, 2021, Xbox Game Pass members will be able to enjoy it on the console, and on the cloud with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One players can experience a wide range of additional features and game modes, some of which are the MyTeam mode, MyCareer mode, and the new-look Neighborhood. Along with that, devs have also added newer stars and upgraded their accessories and skills, as mentioned in the official blog of Microsoft Xbox.

NBA 2K21 MyTeam Seasons
NBA 2K21 players who join through the Game Pass will notice that Season 5 of MyTeam- Age of Heroes is ongoing. Play the game to proceed in the season and discover what the strongest meta cards are right now. Or complete the missions to unlock exciting rewards. Seasons are free for everyone, with no paid component involved. So go on and make your best NBA team possible.
New MyTeam Heroes and Features
MyTeam seasons bring a new hero at every season refresh, and the characters and their skills are grindable. Players starting midway through Season 5 can begin with working on LeBron James by redeeming his Sapphire Evo card. Players need to complete challenges to get their character’s Diamond Card.
NBA’s upcoming stars like Luka Doncic and Mitchell Robinson, while legends like Shaq and Manu Ginobili are also on the list.
Every Season has a unique and slightly difficult challenge dedicated to a few of basketball’s biggest legends. This time, it is the 6-time NBA champion, Michael Jordan. The mission is to recreate his most famous moment in the game, “The Last Shot!”
The iconic winning shot gave him 45 points, while his then team, the Chicago Bulls, a second 3-peat leading to their 6th NBA victory in the decade. Completing the challenge will offer the players the rarest Diamond Jordan shoe and a Hall of Fame badge!
