The E3 event is something most gamers restlessly wait for every year, but more so than ever before, this year. The next-gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony that are about to launch later this year meant that this E3 was going to be something special. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 disrupted all plans and forced organizers to call the event off. However, Microsoft has now announced a new gameplay reveal event on May 7 via a special ‘Inside Xbox’ episode.

The episode will showcase the very first next-gen gameplays on May 7, 8 am PT and 11 am ET.

Xbox Next-Gen Gameplay Reveal to Feature Multiple Titles

As the global coronavirus situation worsened with each passing week, fans feared a delay in the next-gen consoles was inevitable. However, Microsoft was quick to allay those fears, and now they’ve gone a step further and announced gameplay reveal event in place of E3.

As you may have already heard by now, Ubisoft has announced a new title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will feature on the Xbox event too.

It will be interesting to see which other developers are planning on revealing new gameplay at the event. The General Manager of Xbox games marketing, Aaron Greenberg, tweeted out an update soon after, mentioning ‘big summer plans’.
