After all this time, now in 2023, the first season has kicked off. Football fans seem to be loving it so far and so are the critics. Since the new football league is a startup and also has faced a lot of struggles, the remuneration of the players does not seem to be on par with some of the more popular football leagues. How did Dwayne Johnson acquire the league?
Although the league was revived again in 2018, the inaugural season was stopped by the global pandemic at the start of 2020. However, Dwayne Johnson, along with his business partner and ex-wife Dany Garcia, bought the bankrupt league in August 2020 for $15 million. Since then, XFL 3.0 has now found the right time to get rebooted after more than two years of waiting since its acquisition.
