A classic match between The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin of their early days
In 1989, a young Undertaker who went by the name ‘Punisher’ at the time, faced a young Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was known as Steve Williams. This match was just a few months before the ‘Punisher’ debuted as ‘The Undertaker’ in WWE. The match was a United States Wrestling Association (USWA).

Austin was already in the ring, and The Undertaker entered the ring wearing a mask. Taker wore a mask in his Punisher gimmick and his manager was the wrestling legend, Skandor Akbar. Austin (Williams) and Taker (Punisher) had a small feud going during the time.
The match started with Taker pushing Austin to the corner rope twice and giving a chop on his chest. Then, coming in between the ring, Austin grabbed Taker in a headlock for a brief time. Taker gave a counter-back suplex to get released from the hold.
Taker kicked Austin on the back and picked him back and delivered his iconic flying clothesline. He ended the match by giving Austin his then finisher move, the big Leg Drop.

This was a short match between both legends during their young days. Fast forward to 10 years down the line in 1999, both of them were headlining major shows for WWE. These guys became the biggest legends in the pro wrestling industry.

After this match, The Undertaker made his debut in 1990 on WWE. Austin went around other promotions till he landed in WCW and the debuting in WWE in 1995. Both are retired and are living a happy life.
