WWE fans’ reaction shocked Hulk Hogan
On February 18, 2002, in an episode of RAW, the WWE Universe saw an action-packed fight that involved Sterling Golden and The Rock. Mr. America was a heel and The Brahma Bull was one of the top fan favorites back then.
Thunder Lips said that it was a very shocking moment for him as he thought that being a heel, the crowd would boo him, but they booed the rock instead. Instead of cheering for their favorite superstar, fans were cheering for Hulkamania and wanted him to win.
“When I came out, they would be cheering me you know, and whenever the rock was like punching me in the beginning of the match, and they were booing him, I was going, Oh my gosh! This character really crossed all the lines in the WWE.”
The WWE Hall of Famer had not expected this reaction from the WWE fans at all. “I mean, I did everything I could to get the heat, and they still cheered me,” Hogan added.
Hogan’s cow boots moment
In the ringside collectible video, The Immortal also mentioned a particular moment that haunted him for over 20 years. And this moment also happened during his nWo era.
The American retired professional wrestler was to make his debut in the New World Order. He was supposed to wear normal wrestling boots but came out to the ring in his cowboy boots.
