“There Is a Match That I’ve Wanted for Years” – WWE Star Wants a Payback on John Cena for Ruining the Biggest Moment of His Career at WrestleMania

John Cena set foot in WWE two decades ago and since then he has been non-stop adding accomplishments and accolades to his resume. A marvelous wrestler, a super-talented actor, and a philanthropist, The Champ is a household name. Fans love The Cenation leader and The Cenation Leader loves his fans.

The Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect Soldier, over the course of two decades, also had many feuds with superstars like Randy Orton, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, The Rock, and many more. But one WWE superstar that just can’t get over his beef with Mr. P is Elias.

Elias wants to settle the score with John Cena

In WrestleMania 35, The Chain Gang Soldier ruined one of the greatest moments of Elias’ career. On April 7, 2019, the crowd of over 80,000 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, saw The Prototype interrupting The Drifter, who was about to give a live performance to the audience.

Cena, who came out in his The Doctor of Thuganomics character, made his way to the ring and addressed The Drifter by saying, “No string plucks. I feel like I’m at home watching one of my damn movies because this whole thing sucks!”

After taking a dig at the 6-foot star, he then delivered an F-U (a blow to the head). It was followed by fan favorites ‘You Can’t See Me Knuckle Shuffle’ and ‘Attitude Adjustment’. Elias, who has taken this humiliation to his heart, expresses his desire to get even with Cena one day.

“There is a match that I’ve wanted for years and years and years. If I look at the span of my career, the one guy that messed with me the most has got to be John Cena. And of course, maybe the biggest moment of my career at WrestleMania, I’m performing in front of seventy thousand fans, millions watching around the world, and John Cena comes out. Ruins it, raps about me, and gives me the Attitude Adjustment. You better believe one day I’m gonna get that back.” said Elias in an interview.

The former WWE 24/7 Champion returned to Monday Night Raw in October after taking a month off from WWE. Prior to that Elias, was portrayed as Ezekiel, his brother, a babyface with short hair and a clean shave. Ezekiel was involved in a feud with Kevin Owens for a brief amount of time. When Triple H came into power, he canceled Ezekiel’s character and brought back the four-time WWE 24/7 Champion.
