It is no doubt Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most legendary WWE superstars ever. Either his old clips of insane moves or his even more incredible wrestling stories, Stone Cold remains everpresent in the memories of his fans till now. 

The six-time world champion retired in 2003 and now frequently features in interviews and responds to all wrestling questions. He has got many backstage stories that the people want to hear and he recently shared an amusing one.

Stone Cold responded to a question asked to him about the three stages of hell match against Triple H in 2001, where he was hit by a beer can after the match. The match was at No Way Out PPV.

Stone Cold, who made drinking beer his signature move during the attitude era, had the timekeeper throw beer cans towards him in the ring. Austin, who had recently returned from a neck surgery, because of which he botched a couple of moves in the fight. He eventually lost the match and was laying in the ring when somebody threw a beer can in the ring. However, it was not the trusted timekeeper this time. 

Stone Cold recalled the moment, “We were laying there and someone threw a beer over. I guess to throw me one to drink and I was laying there selling that some bi*ch hit me right dead square in the forehead.”

Austin did not sell it because the edge of the can didn’t hit him, so it was a normal hit.

Austin was confident that the timekeeper who threw beer cans towards him for his entire career would never fail in this job. The name of that timekeeper is Mark Yeaton. 

Austin said, “I tell you what that son of a bi*ch had a hell of a arm. He was damn near like Peyton Manning. He could put him wherever I called for him.”

Austin is grateful to the timekeeper who threw beer cans wherever Austin was standing in the ring. The level of coordination between the two was unbelievable.
