“Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently shared a video on social media that led fans to speculate that he might make an appearance at Royal Rumble.

The 58-year-old is no stranger to making sporadic appearances on WWE Premium Live Events. Even after retirement, The Texas Rattlesnake returns to WWE now and then. Austin returned for a match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 last year.

On Monday morning, Stone Cold took to his Instagram page to share his gym workout video. The Attitude-era star was in a hotel gym, lifting 40-pound weights in each arm as part of a bicep workout. He then split it with slow treadmill breaks in between sets.

The caption on his Instagram post read, “Morning hotel arm workout. I walk at a slow clip on treadmill between sets just for the steps. Got it done in an hour. Borrowed a tricep movement from @realmattwenning page and bicep movement from @athleanx page. #workout #lift #train #gym”

This video clip fueled rumors among the fan that Steve The Toughest S.O.B. in WWF/E History will be returning at this year’s Royal Rumble.

Austin’s persistent neck injury pushed him into an early retirement. But it did not hold him back from making appearances inside the squared circle. He has graced the WWE ring multiple times, even after retiring.

The Bionic Redneck was last seen in action at WrestleMania 38. It was against Kevin Owens. KO had challenged the 6-Time WWF Champion for a No-Holds-Barred Match and The Paranoid Rattlesnake took no time to accept it.

Though the 4-Time WWF Tag Team Champion was back after a 19-year hiatus, the long break had no effect on Austin’s performance. The Texas Rattlesnake managed to pull out two stunners on KO, giving him the victory over The Prizefighter.
