It’s no secret that the EST of WWE has had a rough schedule, especially due to her focus on interacting with her younger fans. She also filmed a number of commercials, including ones for Slim Jim and Snickers, and is no stranger to a number of other media and commercial requirements. But, this was due to take a toll on the wrestler, as her hiatus is expected to last from anywhere between “a few weeks (under a month) to possibly 3 months”, according to Wrestle Ops on Twitter.

Despite sorrow emanating about her temporary departure from WWE, fans sent messages of support while also offering their takes on Belair’s presentation when she makes her return to the squared circle.
Fans hope Belair’s hiatus means she’ll come back as a heel
The EST of WWE was dealt a brutal knee injury during the 2023 SummerSlam, after a toss from Flair. Building up on this, Belair suffered an injury yet again on the August 18 SmackDown. Following Belair’s win alongside Charlotte Flair in a tag-team mashup, Damage CTRL ambushed the wrestler. The three wrestlers proceeded to smash her already injured knee while trapping it between a chair, with Belair convincingly in a lot of pain.
Fans hoped that the way WWE handled the storyline better while also expressing their hopes for a possible new presentation for Belair upon her return.
she is handled like a boring John Cena, she needs a new heel character. She’s top in-Ring, but her character & mic work hasn’t got the it-factor it needs to lead the women’s division like Becky like charlotte or if we’re talking about right now like Rhea

I hope she returns with a fresh, new character. Hopefully as a heel.

I already miss her but can’t wait to see how she’ll be when she comes back.

normalize this! let talent stay rested and in control of their personal lives and we’ll appreciate them that much more after a few weeks off TV
