Rock admired his father very much. He was The Rock’s role model growing up. His wrestling name is also after his father’s name, Rocky Johnson.

The Rock’s father was the one who trained him when he decided to make a career in pro-wrestling. Rocky Johnson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 by his son Dwayne Johnson. Unfortunately, Rocky Johnson passed away on 15th January 2020.
