The WWE Universe was shocked when the news of Mandy Rose getting fired from WWE hit the internet. The Golden Goddess was let go from the company a day after she lost her NXT Women’s Championship in an abrupt manner.

Rose’s explicit FanTime content was the reason for her expulsion from the wrestling company in December last year. The WWE fans were unhappy with this decision and expressed their anger on social media. Recently, Shawn Michaels opened up about his perspective on this incident.

During the NXT Vengeance Day media call, the WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative revealed the fact that he was not the one who fired Rose. “Obviously, not the ideal situation. I will say if I’m allowed to say it for the record, I didn’t fire her. I can’t fire anybody. The only thing correct about any of that is that I handle creative” said the HBK.

The Headliner added that he believes Rose was “fantastic” and a “phenomenal champion”. And her leaving the company was “an unfortunate event.” The Icon“absolutely enjoyed working” with God’s Greatest Creation. The Showstopper confessed that he “would have loved things to have gone differently.

The Heartbreak Kid added, “I was put in a position to where I had to make a call creatively, and so we did that. It’s one of the things that I’ve learned, doing this job, nothing comes before the brand. We have to put those things forward and that’s what we did.”

WWE NXT is back on track

WWE wanted to “build” Rose‘s “story with Roxanne Perez” but the story reached its end “a few weeks earlier than expected.” The “great thing” is WWE NXT is “right back on course” now, added the HBK.

Mr. WrestleMania ended his thoughts with, ” I will say, honestly, I think the world of Mandy Rose, she was nothing but phenomenal with us. We’ll miss her. But we’re thrilled about Roxanne Perez being the NXT Women’s Champion and taking us into the future.”

The former NXT Women’s Champion was definitely fantastic and phenomenal. And fans would love to see her back inside a squared circle. But as for now, Rose is keeping her fans happy via offer after offer on her exclusive FanTime subscription-based content that made her a million dollars last year.
