WWE always strives to give its audience the best of the best. For this purpose, the company pitches the top most superstar against each other to bring out an output that goes beyond anyone’s imagination.

More than a decade ago, WWE booked two of the top names in the company – one of them being the 16-time Champion, John Cena – several times to give audiences their money’s worth. The two superstars clashed on almost a dozen of occasions but there is one match that lives in the audiences’ heads rent-free.

On the February 25, 2013, episode of Monday Night Raw, fans saw The Leader of Cenation square off against The Best in the World, CM Punk. The match was for the number one contender’s spot for the WWE Championship. The winner of the match was to advance to WrestleMania 29 to face The Rock for the World title.

Both the stars had great in-ring chemistry. Also, both brought out the best in each other during the match. The two-time Royal Rumble Winner and the three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Punk brought their A-game to the table, but only one walked out of the match with a shot at the WWE title at The Showcase of Immortals. And it was The Prototype.
