Vince McMahon will undoubtedly go down as the greatest man in pro-wrestling history. The man who has witnessed all the golden years of WWE knows everything about running a promotion. Under his leadership, WWE won the Monday Night Wars and purchased WCW. Also, Vince, before that purchased ECW.
There have been many instances when Vince has come out in the ring and broke character or stopped the match. Sometimes he has come out to change the outcome of the match.

One instance when Vince McMahon came out to make the match right was the infamous 2005 Royal Rumble. Batista and John Cena were the last two wrestlers left. They planned Batista to win the Rumble that year. While eliminating Cena, both fell out of the ring and touches the ground at the same time.
The whole arena was shocked, and the referees and backstage officials were confused, too. Vince was furious with this botch and rushed out in anger towards the ring. He was angry about the way the match ended, but Vince was just being Mr.McMahon that he is on screen. While climbing the ring, Vince overstretched and tore both his quads. He could not stand inside the ring. It was sudden and many fans have said it was funny too.

WWE official Jimmy Korderas in an interview with Up Close said, “But the amazing thing that people didn’t realize was when Vince rolled out of the ring, here’s the guy we found out later tore both quads, got to back without help.”
Vince is surely one of the most hardworking people in the industry. It is said he never takes a day off. One will find him in his office or at the arena watching and analyzing the segment or match.

Edge couple of years back in an interview with Inside the Ropes shared his views on the 2005 Royal Rumble incident. He said that it was serious but funny too. Edge was the third last guy to eliminate. He saw the incident happening while returning to the ring.
While he was about to go to the dressing room, he was told to stop. Edge said the reason, “And then we were told don’t go to the hallway. They kept the hallways clear so that Vince could somehow manage to walk because he refused help with his two torn f’kn quads, so that he could get in his car his limo to take him to a hospital.”

Edge has termed this moment very much memorable as how Vince McMahon being Vince McMahon sometimes in real life too. He came walking himself to the car and went to the hospital for his treatment.
