While speaking in an interview with Jay Leno in 1994, Hulkamania revealed the reason why joined WCW. During the show, the host asked Hogan to tell the fans why he “came out of retirement?” He responded to this question by saying that he “loved” wrestling and there were “a lot of reasons” for him coming back to wrestling, but the primary reason was his son, Nick Hogan.

Hogan said, “All the time I’m signing these autographs while I am doing Thunder in Paradise, he’s like dad why are you signing it Hulk Hogan I thought you were a “Hurricane” Spencer – that’s the Navy SEAL name.” And so now all of a sudden Nicholas is going dad I want you to wrestle him. So I take him to McDonald’s or wherever, Nicholas goes, [imintates his son] and my daughter Brook is going like this [imitates his daughter] all the time. So that’s one good reason.”
