Cody Rhodes Could Be on His Way to Become WWE’s Next John Cena After His Bonding With Kids Looked Evident in Viral Video

After several months of being out of action, Cody Rhodes returned to WWE with a bang. He fought his first televised match on the 30-men Royal Rumble match after his return from injury. He entered at 30th position and sent Gunther flying through the top rope to punch a ticket to WrestleMania.

Ever since his return to WWE, the management has pushed him into the limelight. The company is putting all its focus on showcasing him as one of the biggest baby faces of the company. Rhodes is becoming a fan favorite, just like the 16-time Champion John Cena. The third-generation wrestler also replicated Cena’s charitable endeavors outside the ring in order to solidify the comparison.

On the February  27, 2023 edition of Monday Night Raw, The American Nightmare went one-on-one against Chad Gable. The former picked up a victory over the Alpha Academy member after delivering a Cody Cutter on him. But what caught the attention of the WWE Universe is something that happened before the match.

A video of Rhodes’ entrance segment is getting viral on social media. The video showcases him making his way to the ring. Before the star enters the squared circle, he stops and takes off his attire belt. He then kisses his belt and hands it to a little girl holding a poster that has the American Nightmare skull drawn on it.

This adorable gesture from the 2023 Royal Rumble winner made the little kid and her parents ecstatic. Rhodes can cement his status as one of the best babyfaces in the industry by triumphing over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

In just a couple of months, The American Nightmare has become the apple of the WWE Universe’s eye. In a very short amount of time, he has gained so much popularity that it is beyond any measure.

And the Stamford-based promotion has utilized Rhodes’ popularity in the best way possible. The company has put him against one of the top names in the WWE right now, The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. The match between Reigns and Rhodes has not happened yet, and it is already catching tons of attention from fans all around the world.

There is no doubt that this year’s WrestleMania Goes Hollywood is going to be another blockbuster show as the main event will feature the top baby face and top heel of the company squaring off against each other.
