‘Wrestling Observer’ recently revealed that WWE had initially planned The Conqueror to beat The Almighty at last month’s PLE. But the course of the direction was changed when Bray Wyatt was introduced in the Lashley vs Lesnar storyline.
Since The Beast Incarnate refused to have The Eater of the Worlds as his WrestleMania opponent, WWE had to change plans last minute. The company, then, chose to end the Lesnar vs Lashley match via DQ so that the latter advances to The Show of Shows, this year, to face Wyatt.
“Originally what was going to happen was Brock was beating Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber. And that was going to lead to Brock against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. And that’s why Bray Wyatt did that interview (calling out the winner). But after they did that, they had to change the finish,” wrote Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Some fans suggested that Lesnar was too scared to step inside the ring with the 2-time WWE Universal Champion because he apparently knew that he would lose the bout. Others claim that Wyatt’s current storyline is very confusing right now and that The Conqueror wanted nothing to do with such an unstable storyline.
As for now, there is no official say as to why Lesnar said no to Wyatt for WrestleMania.
