WWE recently released a report saying the company made the highest revenue in its history in 2022. In the report, WWE released the revenue for its fourth quarter of 2022 and for the entire year of 2022. The numbers are $325.3 million and $1.3 billion, respectively.

The company also reported that the Crown Jewel premium live event became the most-watched international event in the history of WWE. The report also claimed that this year’s Royal Rumble was the most viewed as compared to other Royal Rumble in all these years.

Fans react to WWE making $1.3 billion last year

When the revenue report hit the internet, fans were quick to give credit to the chief content officer for WWE, Paul Michael Levesque, who goes by the name Triple H. The fans claim it was under the leadership of The Game that WWE rose to new heights and broke all the records.

 

Alongside WWE’s Head of Creative, the WWE Universe asserted that The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns had also an enormous hand in the company making loads of profits. Reigns had a fantastic Bloodline story in the past year and his feud with Sami Zayn drew many more audiences to the wrestling promotion.

A few other names popped up for WWE’s last year’s success credit.

A thing to note here is all this happened during the absence of The Boss, Vince McMahon. It was after his exit from the company that WWE need up creating history.

Mr. McMahon’s return to WWE

Talking about The Higher Power, the one who owns WWE, made his return in January this year after being absent from the company for around five months. McMahon stepped down from his position as the CEO in July last year, following allegations of sexual misconduct.

Sources said that MR. McMahon wanted to return to his old position and become the creative head of WWE, but he had to settle for a seat on the board of directors. When The Evil Genius entered the board of directors, he was unanimously re-elected as Executive Chair of WWE.

What came as a shock for the WWE Universe was when, out of the blue, Stephanie McMahon resigned from the company, making Nick Khan the sole CEO of WWE.
