Cody Rhodes is the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He outlasted 29 other men to secure his spot at the main event of WrestleMania Goes Hollywood, this year.

Rhodes, who returned from a pectoral muscle injury, this Saturday threw The Imperium leader, Gunther, off the top rope to become the winner of this year’s Royal Rumble match.

The entire crowd went wild when The American Nightmare was declared the winner. But what won the hearts of millions of fans came after the Rumble match.

Cody Rhodes earns his fans’ respect

Recently, a video featuring the 37-year-old wrestling star after his Royal Rumble victory is getting viral on social media. The 18-second video clip shows an audience putting his young daughter over the barricade to catch Rhodes’ attention.

Rhodes is a father of one, and his paternal instinct kicked in when he saw the child was somewhere she was not supposed to be. The former AEW executive vice president instantly picked up the child, hugged her, and gave her back to her parents as a safety measure.

This viral video caught the eye of the Royal Rumble 2023 winner, and he retweeted the post on his social media handle with the caption, people be running down that aisle ha, had to get the cutie back to safety”

This adorable gesture from Rhodes has left fans proud of him. People left a bunch of positive comments and compliments in his comment box.

Rhodes winning Royal Rumble 2023 almost didn’t happen

Immediately after the Royal Rumble match, Rhodes had a chat with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport. During the brief interview, he mentioned his epic Royal Rumble victory was on the verge of not happening.

But fortunately for the former Intercontinental Champion, the doctors cleared him to wrestle on the very day of the Royal Rumble. Before that, he hadn’t got full clearance from the medics. He added that fear of not being able to fight in this year’s Royal Rumble had him “shaking.” But he was “glad” that everything turned out fine at last.

Rhodes is now on the road to WrestleMania. And The American Nightmare is looking forward to making his American Dream come true on The Showcase of the Immortals.
