Professional wrestling came to a standstill over the past week when news of Jay Briscoe’s death reverberated throughout the community. The decorated Ring of Honor (ROH) wrestler tragically passed away in a car accident. His daughters, who were in the car with him, survived, albeit with serious injuries. The wrestling community has come out in solidarity to support one of their own, with several donations flooding the GiveSendGo fundraiser to help Briscoe’s family cover the medical costs of their daughters. One prominent name who has done a lot is AEW President Tony Khan.

The promoter wants to ensure that Briscoe’s family can navigate through these tumultuous times. He made sure to not hog the headlines with his contributions and preferred to remain private with his actions. Despite Tony’s wishes to remain anonymous, a popular podcaster spilled the beans on Khan’s noble efforts.
Tony Khan did his part by helping the Briscoe family privately
On episode 315 of the ‘What Happened When’ podcast, popular wrestling podcaster Conrad Thompson spilled the beans on Tony’s work in private. “I don’t mean to betray any confidences, but let me just say this. There’s been lots of rumor and innuendo from really good sources that Tony Khan is who we thought he was and he’s going to do the right thing by that family as well.”
“I don’t think that he would necessarily want anybody to know that information, and we know it’s not your place to talk about it, but I will say that for all the criticism that gets thrown around at Tony this and Tony that, when the chips are down, he’s a dude man.”
Members of the wrestling community heard about this and took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
The wrestling world reacted to Tony Khan’s generosity
The ROH owner’s actions caused a lot of stir among fans as they reacted to the news. One fan even wrote that the AEW President is a man with a heart of gold.
