Dwayne Johnson first auditioned for a soap opera
In an interview with The New York Times in 2008, The Black Adam star confessed to having auditioned for a soap opera, at the age of just 15 or 16. “When I was 15 or 16 years old, I went on an audition for a soap opera and I forgot which one it was,” said the Hercules actor.
Young Johnson added “he drove to New York,” and gave the audition despite having “no acting experience at all.” He had just “got through four lines,” when the audition team said, “that’s fantastic, but you know what? I think we’re gonna go into a different direction. Thank you very much”
The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment asked for feedback about his performance, to which the audition team replied, “Yeah! Sure, no. You did great, absolutely. Somebody get that cardboard box and just set it here because it’s probably just the same.”
