297 Lb WWE Monster, Who Is Brock Lesnar’s Rumored WrestleMania Opponent, Busted Open During WWE SmackDown

The last show of this year’s WWE SmackDown was an exceptional one but filled with tons of goriness. Fans witnessed lots of blood being shed during the event. For instance, the rumored opponent of Brock Lesnar‘s at WrestleMania gets his head busted open at the hands of Mr. High Fly.

The Future of Flight accidentally injured WWE’s Intercontinental Champion during a segment on the final episode of WWE SmackDown, 2022, because of nothing but bad timing.

Ricochet accidentally busted open Gunther at WWE SmackDown

A SmackDown segment showed Braun Strowman interrupting the Imperium leader. The New Face of Destruction confronted The Intercontinental Champion demanding a shot at his title.

Gunther dismissed him and continued to walk, which made Strowman get angry and The Black Sheep attacked him. This led the Imperium to attack Braun. Having the numbers advantage, the Imperium leader was mauling The Monster Among Men.

The Longest-reigning NXT UK Champion locked The Mountain of a Man in an excruciatingly painful hold that was putting a lot of pressure on Strowman’s shoulder and arm. But thankfully The Former Intercontinental Champion arrived on time to save The Abdominal Strowman.

The segment showed Ricochet entering with a chair in his hand to take down the Imperium. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci were successful in dodging Ricochet’s chair shots, but Ring General was not so lucky. The Imperium Leader got accidentally hit by the edge of the chair as he was retreating to the floor.

WWE officials did not delay attending to the injured Ring General, who was given a towel as he made his way backstage. After a while, PWInsider notified the WWE Universe that Gunther “seemed OK”.

Also, a recent report from WrestlingNews.co has revealed WWE’s future plans for Gunter. It is being said that Gunther

will be facing The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 39.

Bad Blood between Ricochet and the Imperium leader

After successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship multiple times, Ricochet finally faced defeat at the hands of Gunther on the June 10 episode of SmackDown.

Ricochet challenged Ring General for a rematch of the title on the June 24 episode of SmackDown, but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in defeating the Austrian Professional Wrestler. Since then, Ricochet doesn’t see eye to eye with Gunther.

Later in the night of Final SmackDown 2022, WWE announced Gunther would defend his Intercontinental Championship against Strowman after two weeks on SmackDown from the FedEx Forum in Nashville, TN. And Ricochet will be at ringside to make sure the Imperium doesn’t play the number game.
