There was a lot of doubt over Bobby Lashley‘s opponent at WrestleMania 39. With Bray Wyatt supposedly out with an illness, it wasn’t clear what would be in store for The Almighty. However, a clip might have provided some insight, as wrestling legend Goldberg might be his replacement opponent on this monumental night.

A superstar of Lashley’s caliber, not being part of something major, was not sitting too well with fans. And now a social media short video by WWE might have indicated that the 56-year-old veteran could be going toe to toe against him.

WWE on FOX’s Instagram page shared a video where netizens can see the visuals of Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse. The music associated with it belonged to veteran Goldberg. The caption to the post read, “YowieWowie!#WrestleMania Superstore”.

Seeing that a perfect competitor in the ilk of Goldberg might go against Bobby Lashley, fans couldn’t keep calm and took to social media in huge numbers to react.

The two tussled in a 2021 rivalry that saw matches at SummerSlam and Crown Jewel. The tussle was made personal by Lashley’s vicious attack on the legend’s son Gage.

And it has to be said that the former world champion arguably had his best battles in his second stint with WWE against Lashley. The latter even termed it as a passing of the torch moment for him.

If the huge encounter does take place, it will be a massive treat for the fans. And it will be interesting to see whether Bobby Lashley can thwart a stiff challenge in Goldberg. Fans would be hoping that the absence of Bray Wyatt does not prevent Lashley from having his Mania moment.
