After the first night of WrestleMania 39, all the focus will be on Night Two and especially the main event clash between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. The fans are already eagerly waiting for the match with a wonderful story being told over the last few weeks. But now The Rock’s tease ahead of the marquee match may have notched up the excitement among the fans.
DJ was heavily rumored to wrestle his cousin, ‘The Head of the Table’ in a generational match at the apt setting of Hollywood, California. But ‘The Great One’ was reported to be not in the right physical shape or conditioning for a match of such magnitude.
While talking about the main event of WrestleMania 39 Night Two, The Rock said “I gotta tell you I am so excited for not only all the matches but especially the main event with my cousin Roman Reigns, the universal champion and to my family, my ohana, the entire Bloodline, Jey, Jimmy, Solo so proud of you guys. Kick a**. Electrify SoFi stadium. Do what you do. It is in our blood.”
Then he dropped a bombshell that will surely generate a lot of buzz. The Rock continued, “And Who knows maybe just maybe down the road I will see you in person. I will leave it at just that.”
Sending electric energy, love, gratitude and support to our WWE Universe, Team WWE and my fellow women and men @WWE & @WWENXT Superstars whom I will always have your backs. Make history this weekend, move the crowd and have fun.

Not only this but toward the end of the video, he went for his signature, ‘If you smell what The Rock is cooking’ schtick, but stopped midway before mentioning, “You know I gotta save it. I gotta save it. I will save it for down the road,” with a smile on his face. The Rock taking the time to talk about WrestleMania and specifically mentioning Reigns and seeing him down the road will get more people excited ahead of the second night of ‘Mania.
Moreover, this video was shot in a gym, which could mean The Rock is keeping fit for a showdown even briefly with his cousin on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’. Such hints are sure not to go unnoticed among the keen WWE fanbase, who have been hoping to see The Rock return to confront Roman Reigns for some time. But since DJ also mentioned seeing them “down the road”, it is also possible he may not show up at WrestleMania 39, but maybe in the next few months.
