Rhea Ripley picked up the biggest win of her career when she managed to pin down Charlotte Flair at “The Show of Shows” on April 1. By virtue of that win, The Eradicator now is the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. One would assume that would be enough to make someone happy. Not if you are Rhea Ripley, though.
Even though she won, The Judgement Day member remained privy to a heart-breaking loss earlier in the day. Facing his father Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio was taught a harsh lesson by the WWE Hall of Famer. Fresh out of his HoF induction, Rey didn’t let go of any chance to teach his rogue son some manners.

This, however, didn’t go down well with Dom Dom’s ‘Mami’, who had some serious allegations against the 619 star.
Rhea Ripley vows to take care of business as she threatens senior Mysterio
During the post match press conference, The Nightmare came down hard on Dominik’s father, questioning the latter’s priorities. A day earlier, Ripley, Dominik and Damien Priest had refused to acknowledge The Ultimate Underdog by being seated when he entered the arena for his induction. The trio stood out like a sore thumb as everyone else left their seat to pay their respect to the legend.
The insult didn’t end there. The three Judgement Day members left during Rey’s speech. When questioned about it, the SmackDown Women’s Champion said while it was a massive achievement for senior Mysterio, she wasn’t going to show respect. “…but the one thing that he can’t be proud of himself is for being a good father. Because he wasn’t,” Ripley said. Mocking the Hall of Famer as a “deadbeat dad”, she added, “I wasn’t going to show any sort of respect to a man that can’t even be there for his son. So that’s why we remained seated and that’s why we walked out. Because I’m not gonna put Dominik through that.”

Ripley also accused Mysterio of putting the WWE ahead of his family. This wasn’t all, as she threatened “The Giant Killer” of unfinished business.
Reflecting on Dominik’s loss, Ripley said she wished she were there. “I wish I could have been there for my Dom Dom, my Latino Heat, my Dominik Mysterio, but you know at the end of the day Mami had business to settle and Mami’s gonna settle some old business later on as well,” she said.
While Ripley failed to show grace, her opponent was full of it after their match.

Although it’s considered to be of healthy spirit to congratulate one’s winning opponent irrespective of how badly one loses, it is seldom done. It also takes a massive amount of courage to do so in public. Wrestlers often extend their gimmicks backstage, indulging in tirades and physical altercations if needed to lend it a more authentic feel.

The Undertaker was a master at keeping his Deadman gimmick intact. For years, The Phenom wouldn’t appear in interviews or even open his mouth much, for the safe keep of his scary persona. However, at times, it crosses the invisible line of decency.
